Why it is that
foolish people are compared with donkeys
and not with
cow, zebra , giraffe or monkeys
me thinks,
the answer is simple
as you may say
both don’t know
when to keep mum and when to bray.
( No offense intended for donkeys, they are lovely and hard-working . They are just stubborn, single-minded and will go to extreme lengths to get what they want, especially when someone indicates “No, you can’t have this. “)

I agree. Silence is golden in certain situations. It calms the soul and helps us get rid of stress and clutter in our lives.
And sometimes speech is platinum. One must know when to speak and when to be silent.
