Scratch board seems to be a dying art. If you're an artist, and would like to try something new, scratch board is a great medium to experiment with.
This image of Bette Davis is one of my personal favorites. The original 11" X 17" image differed from most scratch board art because every single scratch was vertical. The challenge was to give dimension to what is usually a flat medium.
