Tree Climbing Poppy

Rochelle- To start off the year with a bit of whimsy, I’m posting my daughter-in-law’s picture of their tree-climbing dog. She assures me that this is untouched and not photo-shopped. Yep, that’s my granddaughter watching.

Punishment

Sunny was searching for his 24 hours companion buddy who was missing for a long time. he found it in the courtyard on the tree.

‘ What are you doing on the tree, buddy?’

‘ I’m waiting for mom to come and bring me down.’

‘ Come down by yourself.’

‘ I’m too small to come down on my own.’

‘How come you climbed by yourself?’

‘ I didn’t, mom put me here as the punishment.’

‘ That’s no way to punish a small dog, What did you do?’

‘ I  only licked the icing off her  New Year cake.’

About Indira

I knew all along that life is about, love, compassion, compatibility and friendship, but now I have discovered that life is also about sharing the thoughts, encouraging others and getting encouraged. So here I am with my blogs about life, friendship, love, and whatever life has taught me.

  4. Poor buddy… but a talking dog should have better sense than to lick the icing of the cake.

  5. I guess the icing won’t be licked again, but it seems a bit harsh. 🙂 Happy new year, Indira.

  13. My owner has been known to have eaten a complete chocolate mudcake. Can’t leave him alone as he will sniff out and eat chocolate bars (and wrappers) within gettable distance. There are other instances of gluttony – too numerous to recount.

  14. Licked the icing off her cake? Putting him up the tree was mild punishment! 🙂

  16. Poor Buddy. What if he falls? What if an eagle swoops down and snatches him away? What if a cat comes up the tree and laughs at him 😦 Great story, Indira, really loved it

  17. She should consider herself lucky that Sunny only ate the icing and not the cake. Very discerning dog, that. 🙂
