Weekly Writing challenge- Build Your Own

Posted on

Build Your Own–  In this week’s build-your-own challenge, write a post that includes two key components that we’ve provided for you.

Cheri Lucas Rowlands/The Daily Post!)

Loneliness is an interesting feeling.

Only then, when you get used to it. Otherwise it is intimidating. Scary.

Mind will never let you live alone.

It will go on suggesting you to do something,

listen to music, do some work, listen music, watch TV, write something, go to meet a friend or talk to your neighbor.

It feels uncomfortable if you don’t do anything.

It is afraid of loneliness.

It will invent ghosts and spirits to scare you of loneliness.

Once try not to do anything, just sit forcefully neglecting all suggestion your mind provides with.

Let it say anything, don’t become active participant.

You will find, after sometime. Your mind become quiet.

It become calm and peaceful.

Suddenly you become aware of sounds you have never noticed before.

Sound off your breathing, heart beating, birds chirping, air rustling, some distant sound.

Slowly it also fades away.

Stillness captures you.

You start listening to someone other than your mind, perhaps your conscience or you may call it your soul or god.

Something or someone you always avoided to listen.

Then Loneliness becomes interesting.

You start enjoying it. You long to be lonely sometimes.

Then you find real you.

LONELINESS IS AN INTERESTING FEELING.

About Indira

  1. How beautifully expressed Indira. It has inspired me to think of all the states of mind that one has when one is lonely, and yes it can be very interesting to listen to our souls and the inner voices. Great post. Take care and God bless my friend.

  3. I agree with you. It is through solitude that we find ourselves. And yes, it can be interesting. In the mornings, I try to sit quietly and reflect, doing nothing else. It recharges me.

  4. Very true:) people usually have a negative meaning about being lonely, they say they can be alone but even in a crowd they can be lonely.
