Writing 201: Water– Today, let’s write a poem about water. And/or a haiku. And/or use a simile.
Droplets of water
Scattered on the lotus leaves
Shimmer like pearls
sad, depressed, heart-broken
I take a dip in the sea
calm, cool, soothing water
tastes like my tears
waves caressing
wash traces of tears
whisper in my ear
don’t break down or bow out
be like us
floating on the surface
gathering courage and
hitting hard on the shore
~Indira
I like your haiku and your poem is so heartfelt and so positive. I enjoyed reading both.
