Who would have thought that a bunch of underprivileged rag-picker slum dwellers, who always sighed when they saw pictures of famous musicians playing with their costly instruments, ‘Can we ever have these instruments?’, Will form a band of their own with the instruments made from the junk like drum barrels, paint buckets, metal lids, wooden crate and sticks which they collected for recycling?.
With hard work, persistence, and help from Dharavi’s music band, they not only came up with a music band that is vibrant, and entertaining but inspired and encourage other schoolchildren to start their own junk bands.
