Memories
Trains always remind me of my very affectionate 6 years old brother, (suffering from Down’s syndrome), and how he loved to play train.
He would become an engine. Tie me and his two years older brother with a rope and try to pull us. We would go in a different direction when he whistled, making it difficult for him.
He will argue ‘bogies should go with the engine.’
‘And, the engine should go with the driver and the driver should go where the passengers want to go’, we all chided.
The end was always a mock fight with us huddled and kicking each other until the mother’s intervention.
Ah! Memories!
Dear Indira,
Is this a true story? It’s very sweet in any case. I could picture these three children.
Shalom,
Rochelle
