HUMANITY DISGRACED

When the land scam was exposed, all associated scammers panicked. They were thinking of new schemes to save themselves. A huge fire broke out in the building where the files of their misdeeds were kept. The fire burned all the files but surprisingly bigwigs and their staff escaped. It was too big a coincidence, unbelievable, but the investigating committee ruled out the sabotage angle. When the price is right everything can be settled. The disheartening part was their indifference to the few innocent people, who were trapped inside and died, ‘In an overpopulated country a few less make no difference.’

About Indira

I knew all along that life is about, love, compassion, compatibility and friendship, but now I have discovered that life is also about sharing the thoughts, encouraging others and getting encouraged. So here I am with my blogs about life, friendship, love, and whatever life has taught me.

  3. It is a terribly sad, and so probably accurate, indictment.

  4. Dear Indira,

Sadly, your last sentence says it all.

There are a few grammatical issues, if I may.

The first sentence has tense confusion. I would take out “get” which makes it stronger anyway and takes on the confusion. “they panicked.”

A building can be gutted but I don’t think files can. 😉 Perhaps “the files were lost or incinerated or burned” “Coincidence” rather than “coincident” And (I’ll stop after this.) I think you need “The” before “disheartening.”

Your story is too good to be confusing. I hope this helps.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle
