Blogging 201- Day One: Set Three Goals

Posted on

Blogging 201

My three goals-

1- publish a post at least once a week.

2- Spend one hour each week visiting my followers’ blogs, reading, and commenting from now until October 1st.

3- Publish posts from three guests over the next three months.

Why do I blog? Good question.

The main aim behind my joining Word Press was to organize/ clarify my thoughts, as one thing always bothered me that I cannot write properly. My mind was full of thoughts but as soon as I will try to write every single thought vanished.

So when my daughter pleaded me to join Word Press and took the labour to register me there, decorated my blog, then said gets, set and go. I know secretly she requested her blogger friends to follow my blog and encourage me with their positive comments.

I fumbled with words, thought I will never be able to write even one paragraph.

But slowly, thanks to her efforts and patiently cajoling me to write something daily, I get started, publishing my pencil sketches, photographs taken with my cell phone, few short stories, short poems, Haiku and then I got addicted to it.

Second thing I started following other bloggers. Visiting their blogs I got to know about what really writing is. I made lots of friends here. They are very encouraging and helping. They always come up with good comments for my efforts.

Some bloggers are blessed with wonderful writing skills. It’s a pleasure to read their posts.

Who knows, one day I may come up with a good story to delight everyone.
