Silver line
The sky was gloomy
Dark clouds hiding the full moon
No stars to follow directions
No shore to be seen
Loneliness added to the apprehension
Helpless
Hopeless
Hapless
Directionless
With no strength left
Unable to fight
All hopes were gone
I resigned to fate.
Suddenly I saw
My mother’s smiling face
Full of encouragement
Inspiration and assurance
As if saying
“Do not worry my child
Be patient
do not lose hope,
Believe in God and pray,
Everything will be fine
Behind every cloud
There is a silver line.
And I saw the moon
Emerging from the clouds
