How would your life be different if you were incapable of feeling fear? Would your life be better or worse than it is now? (Thanks, Nique Lektra, for inspiring this prompt!)
If I’m incapable of feeling fear, life would be very weird. I may enter a house on fire to save someone, catch a live cobra, jump off a high-story building, and play dangerous games.
I’ll not feel fear of death, loneliness, sickness, poverty, hunger, old age, powerlessness, committing crime, sin, or everything that normal beings are afraid of. Seems nice, no? No fear of darkness, cyclone, or any disaster.
Wouldn’t it be an abnormal life because fear is a mechanism brain is empowered for survival?
Fear is that part of the subconscious that makes you careful, reasonable, and logical. It safeguards you from many disasters or committing crimes or getting hurt.
Is being incapable of feeling fear the same as fearlessness?
In my opinion, feeling fear and overcoming it, and being brave are better than being incapable of feeling fear.
It would be strange and quite possibly life threatening to feel no fear at all. Exciting though.

You started to say something which did not get to the end. That was what I meant. I thought you would complete it.

okay. I’m a bit miser with words or rather words don’t come to me freely.

I think fear must be overcome … it is a part of life for prudence and apprehension, knowing that there is danger but facing the problem anyway is essential to survival!
