Daily Prompt- Kick It

Daily Prompt- What’s the 11th item on your bucket list?

Kick It

I am one of those few persons who are destined to never ever get anything they wish for but get better than they wished for. If I ask for water I’ll get soft/hard drinks but my regret was that I want plain water so why can’t I get it. Why my wish won’t be fulfilled. 100 out of 100 chances it happened with me.

My parents and siblings and friends said I’m being ungrateful. Maybe. You can’t fight your destiny so I gave in and literally kicked my bucket list.

In childhood, my one and only dream were to be like my elder sisters, best in everything. It was not going to happen anyway. So I said to God that if you can’t do that simple thing then there is nothing I’ll ask you for.

I’ll admit frankly that in my secret chamber of heart there were many things I wanted to achieve. Same as any normal, middle-class person will want to achieve. Few I got few could not. There are no regrets but as Harriet Beecher Stowe says,

“The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and for deeds left undone.”

The 11th or I would say the last item on my list is to visit mighty Himalaya. Age and health would permit me or not, I can’t say but at least my wish is not left unsaid.

“Meditating always like the great Saint. Completely detached and completely one with the universe.

You are taller than anyone,
Stronger than anyone.
Thunder can’t shake you nor can the clouds reach you.
You are fearless.

You are at the highest state, yet you are down and hold the strongest attachment with our Mother Earth.
You are Ego-less.

Your purity makes Nature run through you and virgin snow has the honor to make the beautiful scarf for you.
You are absolutely pure.

You witness all our drama, forgiving always no matter what, and keep showering your blessings with the great treasure of Nature and for the survival of life on this heavenly planet of Earth.

“We salute you O’ Great Saint – The Great Himalayas.”
