ROOFLESS
‘Be grateful for the roof on your head, millions of lives without one and had to survive scorching heat, rains, flood, and rough weather. ‘ Mother said.
‘Ha! I was destined to be your child and have one on my head. I’m blessed to find shelter under you both.’
‘We are not rich; no one knows what will happen one day so always be thankful for whatever you have got.’
I learned the hard way.
The sudden demise of our father made us vacant the government accommodation we were occupying.
Till we got another shelter, we were roofless for a few hours.
It does make one think when they realise that they have no safe or covered place to lay their head.
