Reena’s Exploration Challenge #109- Prompt this week
NOSTALGIA
Can someone bring back
Carefree childhood
Caring and loving parents, siblings
Sweet lingering memories of the time spent with
Spouse, children, relatives, and friends
Lovely memories of
Daughter and son’s marriage
Arrival of granddaughter
Unforgettable time spent in
Traveling so many places,
Meeting with so many people
Swimming through the memory lane
cherishing, savoring, relishing all
As if it all happened yesterday
How time flies by
Leaving behind
NOSTALGIA
~ Indira
Alas, we don’t have a rewind and replay button on our lives, no more than an Undo button. Now that button would be useful at times.

Ah, but tread with care my dear
For the leg had stepped on thorns as much as on cotton
But the mind, he plays tricks, wears a party mask
Of smiles and joys,
He plays the part of nostalgia
And he reminds us of only the good times

Sorry, dear Indira,
This reply just burst out. Off the cuff.

I love your take on nostalgia
You’ve encapsulated life as it must be remembered.
For anything else is but a anchor that does us no good.

Peace,
Eric
