Echoes of one of my mother’s oft-said sayings: Everything comes to he who waits. Ah, but do we want it when it comes? Often I think we find the answer is no. Instead, it’s the unexpected and unlooked-for gift that’s best.

For me it was always when I gave up hope, I got more than I wanted. But sure I was not happy then as because it was like I’m thirsty give me only water afterward getting wine I didn’t ask for. What to do, this is life.

We don’t get what we want (though we might need what we get) and we don’t want what we get (though that’s what we need). Yea, such is life. So, the answer, is to be satisfied with our lot, to make the most of it, to… be inventive with what we’ve got. 🙂
