seven cardinal sins are pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth.
The 8th sin in my opinion is prejudice.
We all are very quick to make opinion about other people based on their color, caste and creed, religion, culture or country, without actually giving it a try to understand what they really stand for.
We start criticizing them without knowing fully their environment, difficulties they have to face and social structure of their country.
Sometimes prejudice is based on one’s experience.When someone cheats us or hurts us we take it as whole community of that person is of cheater or bad.
We fail to understand that there may be reasons for that person to behave in faulty manner, may be his own upbringing or any cause but we can’t put label on his/her whole community.
One interesting aspect of human nature is
“If we were to wake up some morning and find that everyone was the same race, creed and color, we would find some other causes for prejudice by noon.” ~George Aiken
