Hunger

HUNGER

Once upon a time, there was a sad king

Always complained that his life lacked a zing

He was never short of food

Then why did he always brood

Perhaps he knew not what is hunger's sting

An Earnest Prayer

Posted on
O God ! please let me have

Jealousy, greed, selfishness, haughtiness,

hatred, cruelty, and lust

as my enemies.

Ego, stubbornness, anger, hunger

mind and body

as my slaves

Love, positivity, compassion, compatibility,

kindness, courage, and righteousness

as my companions.

You and my conscience

as my mentor.

Am I asking for too much?

Angel

My angel

did you fall on the colors

or the colors fell on you

to borrow

some candidness

from you eyes

some innocence

from your smile

to make a perfect picture

as lovely and lively as you

LOYALTY

Greener pastures were calling

The caged bird keeps recalling

Loyalty shackled

Conscience heckled

Though caging was appalling

I

sincerly
pray and surrender
to
the grandeur
of
the Sun
who keeps it
equanimity
intact
whether
rising up
or
setting down

Companion

Paths are sometimes

bright and rosy

sometimes foggy and scarry

but

blessed are those

who have a companion

to walk through

holding hands

forever

and

forever

No dearth of tools for

Instant gratification

Frustrates afterward

Learn to resist temptations

For better results in life

Pray His Majesty

Get up and entertain the crowd

There are no free meals

Wishing and lazing around

Would not bring prey to your mouth

Road to heaven

is simple and straight

just follow

love, compassion

and togetherness

why do some roam around in circles with

the motto

‘ Die today for the better tomorrow…’
