Cringe- The Daily Post

Cringe- The Daily Post

I cringe
When criminals kill for lust, greed and their false beliefs
When people are indifferent to
Innocent people’s suffering.

I cringe

realizing

How my hate towards them has changed me

Killed a part of my heart,
A  part of my sweetness,
And from the pain of my wounded heart
I’m still recovering.

I cringe when I read about rapists, terrorists and people who commit heinous crimes, through acid on others, oppress weak and poor.

 All thoughts of forgiveness evaporate.

I wish I could make them stand in a line and shoot them.

Some people don’t deserve to live.

guilty conscience

The moment sleep comes; I get up perspiring profusely, her cry for help ringing in my ears.

Whatever may be one’s karma, no one deserves this gruesome end.

I showed cowardice and am doomed for whole life.

I was just passing by when I witnessed the most heinous crime.

They were four men, behaving worst than an animal.

I was intimidated by their number.

I thought they will kill me if they see me, so I can’t help her anyway.

I can find excuses to console me. But the fact remains.

I could have done something to help her.

Five Sentence Fiction- Spoiled

SPOILED

What spoiled him to such an extent that he not only raped his victim along with his friends but murdered her heinously?

Not only that he did not show any remorse for his misdeeds but tried to prove it by accusing her for her modern outfit and going out at night with her boyfriend, she needed to be taught a lesson.

I wonder what psychology goes behind it, is it due to pampering of his parents showered on by fulfilling all his demands and treating him like prince, him being a son but failed to give him good values.

Or is it due to the way he grew up in a society where men showed no respect and gratitude towards women.

Or some people are just born evil; they are incorrigible any amount of preaching, teaching cannot rectify them and they deserve to be hanged till death.

Five Sentence Fiction – Conflict

conflict_analysis

Long sessions of meditations, Satsang( company of pious people seeking truth) and introspection made me think that all my inner conflicts have vanished, I have learned to control my anger, and peace and calmness dawned on me.

I accepted that God has given us so many ups and downs in life to make us tough.

I realized that all religions teach same virtues of love, compassion, kindness, harmony, and compatibility and only some intolerant of follower spread hate and disturbance for their personal gain and power.

I understood completely that anger and greed are the biggest enemies and empathy and forgiveness are our biggest friend and liberate us.

But…when I read about rapists, terrorists, and people who commit heinous crimes, through acid on others, oppress weak and poor, all thoughts of forgiveness evaporated, I wished I could make them stand in a line and shoot them, some people don’t deserve to live.

SCHOOL BELL

Non fiction

Word count – 107

As a school bell I’ve shared so many events, good, bad, enjoyable or despicable.

I regret that I cannot express myself when I’m happy; give rewards, or give evidence when watch a crime being committed, like the last time when the eve teasers forced their way to a girl’s class, ousted everyone, poured kerosene on her and set her on fire and ran away, just because her father dared to report against them to the police. Whole school watched with horror but no one had the courage to testify against the scoundrels.

Alas! I just hanged there as a mute spectator.

Daily Prompt: Unleash Your Inner Dickinson

Sometimes its just not easy to follow
“hate crime and not criminals”
When criminals kill for lust, greed and their false beliefs
When they are indifferent to
Innocent people’s suffering.

Hatred,

Killed a part of my heart,
A  part of my sweetness,
And from the pain of my wounded heart
I’m still recovering.
