PROMPT #161- I invite you to meditate on the light this week, and share your take on the subject.

absence of light

is the root cause of all our fears

let the light reach

the dark corners

of  mind, and heart

and enlighten the soul
to accept,

it’s okay to have
some flaws

some flowers

give their fragrance at night best

let me accept

light and darkness both

and

unshackle me

from fears

Darkness -The Daily Post

Darkness- the Daily Post

All religions preach peace, love, humanity and harmony, but

When a group of people of any particular religion  thinks that its religion is above all religions and humanity, when they spread hatred, when they force people to either  accept it or perish, and when they indulge in brutal killing
of innocent people, who believe in different ideology, culture and religion.
Beware!
Darkness is going to gobble up the universe, if we don’t unite and correct our ways.
The only religion that can drive away the darkness is HUMANITY.

Writing 101,Day 14- Recreat a single day

Posted on

Thirty years ago a Monday night changed my perspective about life completely.

I was with my two children, daughter 9 years old and son 7 years. My husband was out of station.

On Friday I had met with a friend who promised to visit my house on Monday.

On Saturday I got the news that she was burned to death while preparing dinner for her family.

It was the third case of death by burning in my life. My school friend then my sister-in-law and now this.

On Monday morning I woke up with a start. She was supposed to come today. The whole day I was thinking of her. I did all chores as if in a daze.

I was unable to sleep at night. Frankly, I was a bit scared. What if her soul comes?

I have always been scared of ghosts and spirits.

Children were fast asleep. Oblivious of my condition.I was perspiring profusely. I was thirsty but not able to get up and drink water.

I think when we reach the breaking point our conscious takeover and start reasoning.

I thought why I’m afraid of her. She was my friend. I loved her. She will do no harm to me.

I gathered courage, got up and went to the balcony. Sat there in a chair fully, prepared to welcome her soul.

Slowly I was becoming calm. I dozed off. The night passed quietly. Nothing happened.

The morning came with a new perspective. I was relieved of my fear of darkness and ghosts.

Do ghost, witches,  demons, angels and

Spirits really exist

Or, are they figment of imagination

Your faith is their strength

The reason for their existence

If you believe

They are everywhere

If you don’t

They are nowhere

Ese’ s Weekly Shoot&Quote Challenge – Fragile

The older you get, the more fragile you understand life to be. I think that’s good motivation for getting out of bed joyfully each day.

Prompts for the Promptless – Ep. 8 – The Litmus

Prompts for the Promptless – Ep. 8 – The Litmus–The Litmus Test is a test in which a single factor (as an attitude, event, or fact) is decisive.  In other words, it’s a single question test, not necessarily related to the information that is gleaned from the test.

Methinks,

The litmus test of any relationship/ friendship is when misfortune strikes or when there is darkness in life. Then only one comes to know about who is your true friend/ relative/neighbor is. The fake one will be there in good times and disappear when one really needs them.

Bitter but true fact

Even your shadow leaves you

When misfortune strikes
