Pockets of Stillness

जिंदगी दौड़ रही

बेरोक बेलगाम सी 

कभी कभी इसमें 

विश्राम होना चाहिए
जिंदगी कटी यहाँ 

वहां घूम घूम के
अब तो कोई 

पड़ाव होना चाहिए
बदला ना खुद को कभी 

अपनी ही जिद में जिए
अब तो व्यवहार में 

बदलाव  होना चाहिए  

बचपन में खेले खूब  

जवानी में भटक लिए
बुढ़ापे में थोड़ा  

ठहराव होना चाहिए

Wheel- The Daily Post

If we compare our body with a chariot then two wheels are mind and conscience.

Mind tries to lure it with indulgence, laziness, conscience tries to aspire it with  great  dreams and tries to take to new heights and success . Those whose mind and conscience  are not in sync are the confused lot. Body cannot decide with whom to go. If the wheels of a cart are not in sync in their dreams, desires and target they can’t take it anywhere. (oops!I can’t do better than this to explain what I have written in Hindi Poem.)

If someone can help me translate it, please oblige me friends.

 

एक चक्र रथ का है आगे आगे दौड़ता

दूसरा है घूमता वहीँ वहीँ

एक की चाह है आकाश को छूने की

दूसरा जमीं पे है अडिग खड़ा

एक जो ठान ले कर के है छोड़ता

दूजा कहे समय है बहुत पड़ा

एक की आँख में स्वप्न हैं नए नए

दूसरे की नींद टूटती नहीं

मन,विवेक चक्र हैं दो ,

दोनों अलग अलग हैं दौड़ते

तन है रथ असमंजस में

किसका ये साथ दे किसको ये छोड़ दे

कैसे द्विधा में है ये तन पड़ा

एक चाल, एक राह एक ही से स्वप्न हों

तभी तो मंजिल की ओर सकता है कदम बढ़ा
