PROMPT #176

Our prompt this week has the potential to cover more than the written word. Think images, computer art, paints and brushes or a camera lens. Words are not going anywhere though, because that is what we are talking about.

If you are a book, what will the cover look like?

hotchpotch.

Life

Merry go round: sometimes up sometimes down

Glass: half-full, look whatever way you like

Sometimes bright, sometimes dark

Sometimes derailed

Sometimes on the right tracks

Long path: three fourth covered

No looking back

Own choices

No one to blame

No use thinking what could have been better

If I am a book, and the story is like this then

The cover obviously will be a

Total hotchpotch

PROMPT #174

No hurry

No curry

No worry

The Wise man said

No curry

No hurry

I could comply

But

No worry

Not in my hands, as

Life was ready with

It’s googlies

And

I never learned

How to play

With age came

Experience

I learned

Problems will be there

But

I’s your attitude

What counts

So

Stopped reacting

And

Learned to

Respond

With patience and

Care

Life

Still throws googlies

But

As it goes

One who keeps cool wins in the end.’

Prompt- ILLUSIONS

Let it be a theme for the week’s writings. It may not necessarily be about privacy, but the various illusions we live under, and which actually make life bearable. Knowing too much would debilitate our sense of individualism, independence, achievement, or glory. It is actually a happy bubble we live in.

Life from now onwards

Never be same again

Illusions busted

myths are broken

That mankind is superior to all creatures

a tiny virus crushed us all

VJ’s Weekly Challenge #100: Pause

( for someone who ended his life, he might have been desperate but what about his father and sisters and all relatives and friends, who were very proud of him)

perhaps

a timely pause

before taking the final leap
could have changed
your perspective
does your decision
to end your life
affects only you
or your dear ones
who put their faith in you
stand by you
accepting all you whims
supported you
you died only once
they will die
a thousand deaths

I wish life can be that simple

the world is a stage

and we are the mere players

then we can blame

the producer, director, writer

all in one in this case

with no responsibility

of our acts

as we are just puppets

where someone else is pulling

the strings

and sleep comfortably

but if it’s

my life my rules

then the whole responsibility lies on us

for our choices

our decisions

our action

our reactions

take the full credit and

exit

with full contentment

Once upon a lifestyle

Once upon a lifetime

Once in a lifetime

At least once in a lifetime

if not more like me

you get a kick from God

and realize

the value of

life

love

health

exercise

relationship

friendship

love

money

diet

sunlight

rest

self-confidence

and the

time and space

you get

or give

to others

It is in the darkest hour that

when I vent out my frustrations
after crying my heart out
or
by pouring everything on a paper to tear it and throw
of course at night
when no one sees or notices
I feel rejuvenated
as venting
blows away  the dirt
trying to pollute my mind
A light sneaked in the darkness
telling me
that
‘giving lots of  benefits of doubt’
to other
makes
life
more compatible.

‘Down, down, down into the darkness of the grave

I know

I can’t change

anything in this world:

anything which is fake

or

the attitude of people towards life,

towards the environment, poverty, religion

and their consumption of nature’s gifts

without sharing equally

I do not approve

either

nature’s law of death

why make people

in old age

vulnerable

why not they can keep

their innocence, fearlessness, and cheer

like a child

till the end

then let death come

with all its novelty

to carry on nature’s law

and allow them to  go slowly, gently, peacefully, graciously

down, down, down into the darkness of the grave

I wish I could say:

and I’ve not resigned

but

what ho!

I have no power

no voice

no choice

though

I make a lot of noise

but here I resign.

What else can I do

except changing myself

only if I knew it then…

maybe I would have revised some decisions
or
traded carefully in tough situations
or
had been less impulsive
0r
whatever…

but one thing is sure

it would have  taken away

all the thrill from my life

would have hampered my growth

knowing beforehand is not profitable

always

it shackles you sometimes

life would have been like reading

a mystery book
or
a movie knowing

the end beforehand
