Be the Change-Spread Peace and Love

Posted on

Be the ChangeWhat change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

How I would like to bring religious harmony without any interference and forceful imposition of one’s faith on others, spread love, peace and remove racism from this world by my blog.

I mostly write about peace, love, friendship, understanding, etc., and love to imagine that my blog will make at least a tiny change in the world.

The problem is my friends who read my blog are already blessed with unprejudiced thoughts and qualities, are friendly, loving, caring and peaceful people. They themselves are trying to enlighten people about love and peace with their writings, trying to make people happy with their witty and humourous writing.

Terrorists, criminals and religious heads, those who are busy making our life hell by spreading violence and hatred in the name of religion for their selfish reasons, never ever visit my blog. Even if some of them by chance read, they never will change their ways or thinking. Actually no one can change a person by preaching if he/she doesn’t want to change himself.

But one thing is sure by writing whatever I have in my mind I feel liberated and light-headed. This makes me happy. A happy I can make people surrounding me happy, they in their turn will make others happy.

I hope my blog will start a chain reaction in the world and bring satisfaction to my mind.

Monthly Peace Challenge: Peace Child

 PLEA OF A CHILD

I am born innocent, full of love and peace.

I am born neither Hindu, Muslim, Christian nor Sikh, Jain or Buddhist.

You brand me with a label of religion without me knowing what a religion is.

Instead of teaching me love, friendship, compassion and compatibility, you teach me to hate people of other religions.

You teach me to hate people of other religion, ideology , color, caste and creed.

I request all the teachers, parents and elder person, please stop teaching me anything.

There will be differences between us as no two people can think alike but we will manage.

We will play, fight and make up if we are not taught to carry on fights on the basis of ego and arrogance.

If you stop fighting with each other and start living in peace and harmony we will automatically learn that.

If you will give respect to people of other religion, caste and creed, you will not have to bother with teaching me anything as we children are  incarnation of love and peace.

The Child-Angel

They clamor and fight, they doubt and despair, they know no end
to their wrangling.
Let your life come amongst them like a flame of light, my
child, unflickering and pure, and delight them into silence.
They are cruel in their greed and their envy, their words are like
hidden knives thirsting for blood.
Go and stand amidst their scowling hearts, my child, and let
your gentle eyes fall upon them like the forgiving peace of the
evening over the strife of the day.
Let them see your face, my child, and thus know the meaning
of all things; let them love you and thus love each other.
Come and take your seat in the bosom of the limitless, my
child. At sunrise open and raise your heart like a blossoming
flower, and at sunset bend your head and in silence complete the
worship of the day.

Rabindranath Tagore

Ese’ s Weekly Shoot&Quote Challenge – Touch

See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence…we need silence to be able to touch souls. Mother Teresa

One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. William Shakespeare

B4Peace- A Party For Peace.

B4Peace- So this months challenge is to plan a party that will ripple peace to the world-Kozo

A Party For Peace.

I’m not a party person so the very idea of party  scares me, moreover, I never had a chance to organize a very big party as peace lovers are much more in numbers compared to those who are destroyer of peace. I’ve met thousands of people who wants peace in this world. All religions preach love, compassion and peace so how come there is so much unrest, terrorism, violence, wars in this world. How come handful of people in their greed of money and power can teach and spread so much hatred amongst people in the name of color, caste, creed and religion and if it can be taught so definitely love also can be taught.

I’ll request my wonderful friends Kozo, Archita and RaraSaur to help me organize the party and I’m sure these kind souls will help me.

All peace lovers are welcome to my place  with their great ideas of how to teach love and compassion and remove hatred from people’s mind. Since this is the party of peace lovers so there is going to be a lot of fun, music and food to suit everyone’s taste.  In the end we all will sing a song,

‘One Song’

of love, compassion , compatibility and peace.

 ‘One Song’- ‘Rumi’

Every war and every conflict between human beings
has happened because of some disagreement about names.

It is such an unnecessary foolishness,
because just beyond the arguing
there is a long table of companionship
set and waiting for us to sit down.

What is praised is one, so the praise is one too,
many jugs being poured into a huge basin.
All religions, all this singing, one song.
The differences are just illusion and vanity.
Sunlight looks a little different on this wall
than it does on that wall
and a lot different on this other one,
but it is still one light.

We have borrowed these clothes,
these time-and-space personalities,
from a light, and when we praise,
we are pouring them back in.

Optimist

Six years old Grandson,  whose both feet had been amputated,  when he was four had long back  accepted his disability and tried to be  always happy lest grandma becomes sad, suddenly requested his grandma-‘ I want  shoes ! ‘
Grandma, who was taking him for a ride on his wheel chair,  looked sadly at him.
‘ Don’t look so sad dear, I want them for my best friend, he cannot buy shoes and cannot play without them,’ said he.
Grandma lovingly  showered blessings on him.
He laughed ‘ One day, with your blessings  I am going to  climb Mount Everest like ‘Tom Whitekar‘ and ‘Arunima Sinhama ‘ .

( Tom Whittaker (born 1948 in York) was the first disabled person to climb to the summit of Mount Everest.[1]

Whittaker’s right foot needed to be amputated following a car accident in 1979. Following this serious accident, he regained his strength and continued climbing.

Arunima “Sonu” Sinha (born 1988) is the first female amputee to climb Mount Everest.[1] She is also the first Indian amputee to climb Mount Everest.[2][3]

She was a national level volleyball player who was pushed out of a running train by thieves in 2011 while resisting them. One of her legs had to be amputated below the knee as a result.

FSF- Journey

His journey on the Highway of life was different from others as he did not choose the smooth and easy path of eat, live, reproduce and die  but the path of selfless struggle for human dignity, equality and freedom.
.
His  journey had many ups and downs, difficulties and obstacles, pain and miseries  but they could not deter him from his fight for what he thought was right  and after a long struggle he achieved what he fought for.

He taught the world that no one is  born hating each other for color, cast and creed, people are   taught to hate each other and if they can be taught to hate each other then  they can be definitely  taught to love each other.

He believed that if one has done his duty towards and his people then only he can rest peacefully so when the end came he  looked around  peacefully at the people surrounding him and drifted into eternal sleep with a very peaceful content smile on his face.
He was one of few people for whom earth feels proud that they walked on earth leaving their footprints on its heart never to be washed away by the waves of time.

Dhammapada ( attributed to Buddha )

It would be better if, instead of a thousands words,

There was only one, a word that brought peace.

It would be better if, instead of thousands poems,

There was only one , a poem that revealed true beauty.

It would be better if, instead of thousands songs,

There was only one, a song that spread Happiness.
