PROMPT #102
Here’s a short sentence
Public figures make us hate their enemies.
Can anyone make other sane, intelligent, unselfish, self-confident, knowledgable person, hate his enemies, if his enemies are just a bunch of insensible, selfish, adamant people or media or whatever, who oppose just for the sake of opposing? And for how long?
You may call it insecurities, dependencies, our own inefficiency to reach the level, a public figure reaches and makes common people his admirer.
Then slowly, slowly as our dependency, our hopes, our belief that he is the answer to all our the problem. We become scared that other people who don’t like him, don’t idolize him, criticize him, will pull him down and make us like orphan again.
We start defending him with all our might.
It is then we, who start hating his enemies.
Funnily the moment he fails us in the tiniest bit or behaves in a manner different to our own expectation, we keep no stone unturned to pull him down, start tarnishing his image.
But as long as he is true to our expectations works in our favor we are all praise for him.
We will put him on a pedestal.
We will worship him as a God.
Make a mistake and we ourself will be after his blood
But
Till then we protect them.
Well, it’s my opinion.
