CONTRADICTION

All poisonous thoughts of revenge are mushrooming in my head.

When I confessed this to my pastor, he gave a lecture on forgiveness and peace of my own mind. He explained further that If one is always burning with hatred and vengeance, it is definitely harmful for self, mentally and physically.

‘But I beg to defer’, I argue, ‘I think unconditional forgiveness tantamount to Acceptance of wrong doings. How can my soul be peaceful if I surrender meekly?

NOTHING CAN BE MORE PATHETIC and DISTURBING to me if I have to REPENT throughout my life having FORGIVEN an UNDESERVING ONE.

Revenge

The muck, moss, and pigeon poop on the statue made me feel sorry for the king whose statue it was.

He must have had a false notion that coming generations will remember and revere him as all arrogant egoists have.

Guide told me how he burdened his subjects with excessive taxes to raise funds for his statue and tortured people who could not pay. Many died of poverty, hard work, and starvation.

I am sure they were reborn as pigeons.

Now they were taking revenge by pooping on his statue as he could not harm them, except giving them a glare.

( I love helpful criticism.)

“Salvation”

Fiction- By Indira- 100 words

She was arrogant, rude, and never thought twice before humiliating servants in front of others.
No servant lasted with her except all-rounder Ramu, who swallowed his pride as she paid generously but now he was also exasperated with her and wanted to quit but not without teaching her a lesson.
So when she ordered him to repair her dear synthesizer, which also had to tolerate her singing in a hoarse voice.
Ramu saw his chance.
After completing his job he patted it apologetically.
He said – ” Goodby synthesizer, and sorry, but it is your salvation too” and left the house forever.
