Symptom- The Daily Post

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/symptom

The symptoms of were loud and clear. It was depression. It was making our journey by car to Kolkata from Vizac, very tiresome, which otherwise we both enjoy.

Occasion for the journey was sad. My younger sister-in-laws husband expired. We were all like friends. It’s difficult to forget everything and enjoy journey. Distance from Vizac to Kolkata is nearly 900Km. Most of the time we were on express highway. Roads were good, but our mood was not.

Then came two rescue were my two old friends music and photography. Nothing else can change your mood like music. So I started playing a potpourri of songs and taking photographs of whatever came in sight. Still last 200 km were hard to kill. We were fatigued. Anyhow we reached there stayed for 15 days, meeting everyone is a nice, beautiful ever lasting experience. SIL,BIL, their sons, daughters, grandchildren all united to share the grief. This is one thing where you can’t do anything, have to accept it. Life moves on and sweet memories remain. God bless the departed soul.

 Meeting culture

Every visit to the Sacred River greets them with the stink of leftover food, used plastic cups/ bottles and stale flowers, thrown in the river by the residents after rituals, and picnickers, without any concern,
How  they long for fresh air, clean sparkling water.
Every time they blame the government and people for failing to keep the environment clean.
Every time they vow to do something about it.
Every time they pat each other’s back for their awareness and concern.
Every time they treat themselves to a sumptuous lunch and postpone plan of action for  next meeting.

Prompts for the Promptless – Ep. 4 – Wu Wei

Posted on

Prompts for the Promptless – Ep. 4 – Wu Wei “Prompts for the Promptless” was created to expand minds, share ideas, and — equally importantly — find something about which to blog. Rarasaur.

Wu Wei, or non-doing, is a Taoist practice involving letting one’s action follow the simple and spontaneous course of nature rather than interfering with the harmonious working of universal law by imposing arbitrary and artificial forms. In other words, it is the action of non-action.

Everything in this universe such as Sun, planets, stars, sea, river, trees, etc are a good example of Wu Wei, everything does it work naturally without doing it. In our body, our cells, our digestive system, heart, lungs, all our organs do their duty naturally, if we are not sick or hamper them with our bad faulty habits. If we don’t interfere with our limited knowledge and greed everything in nature follows Wu Wei.

Love is also a very natural expression if we don’t kill it with false differences due to color, caste, creed,  religion and our selfishness.

Parents love for their children whether they are human or animal flows naturally without trying for it. This is the best example of Wu Wei.
