DAILY PROMPT– Refresh
Bright winter Sunrise
Takes away load off the head
Sometimes life seems stale
everyday chores boring
then a visit to the beach
in the early morning
seeing sun smiling
hitting the shore
everyone doing their work
with the same enthusiasm
everything seems anew
You’re at the beach with some friends and/or family, enjoying the sun, nibbling on some watermelon. All of a sudden, within seconds, the weather shifts and hail starts descending from the sky. Write a post about what happens next.
It was a very pleasant weather. We friends decided to spend the morning at sea beach. Some started swimming and some just sat on the sand enjoying water melon.
Younger one started playing Frisbee.
Idling on the sea beach has its own charm.
We decided to stay on till evening. We had enough munching material.
We were not alone. Good whether has attracted many locals and tourists were adding to the charm with their colourful attire.
All of a sudden whether changed and hail started from the sky. All hell broke loose.
The first thing everyone tried to save their heads while running to shelter.
In our beach area there is not much to take refuge in.
Whatever one could lay hands on, towel, scarf, stole snatched and covered their head. One woman, who unluckily swam far, came back and running covering her head with her hands as if it will save her from naphthalene size hails. One boy even tried to hide under water but could not stay for a long time.
We were all running towards road to reach my house. It was just across the road but reaching that much without covering our self was a hard task as running on the sand itself is a tough job, imaging that to do with wet clothes.
Those who came with a big sheets took three four person under their wrap.
Worst hit were people who came to take a bath in sea after shaving their head and performing some ritual. There is one Hindi proverb’ सिर मुंडाते ही ओले पडे’ means misfortune in the very first adventure. Poor fellows.
Surprisingly no one lose their spirit. They were cooing, and shouting, cheering up and trying to help each other. They were not thinking about locals or outsiders. Suddenly they were as one under tough situation and that was heart rising.
People always come together in tough times.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Happy Place.”
Where do you go when you need to think? What do you do when you need to restore yourself, to ready yourself to take on the coming week with energy and verve? How do you get your sense of humor back? How do you recharge your groove?
There is only one answer for me to all the question is the morning walk either in the nearby park which is very calm and serene in the morning hours or sea beach which is also a pollution free zone up to 7.30 in the morning.
All my energy, sense of humor comes back if I’m able to get up at 5 AM and go for a walk. I come back fully rejuvenated and in good humour.
A visit to the sea beach is always delightful and every delightful moment is worth taking a shot.
Peace, peace I find you here.
