LONG AND SHORT OF IT

Reena’s Exploration Challenge – 104

Here’s another week that promises to be full of creativity and fun.

PROMPT  104- LONG AND SHORT OF IT

You need not get lost in the length. Just choose any three words – by instinct, by closing your eyes and placing a finger, by following a number game (3,27,91 or something like it), by creating an alphabetical logic …. The choice is all yours.

 ( body, beauty, passengers)

I wake up at 3 am to find my body seems to be gliding through the air.

My surrounding seems to vanish.

There is just me floating or rather gliding in the air and the star-studded sky.

My mind, usually a chatterbox is dumbfounded by the magnificence of the scene.

It’s overwhelming to witness such beauty.

So many times I have seen stars shining in the sky but today it seems so serene, surreal, incredible, and divine.

I’m spellbound.

Am I hallucinating?

It lasts just for a few seconds.

A jerk brings me back to my surrounding.

The driver shouts something unprintable to some unknown creature.

The spell is broken.

I’m on a sleeper AC bus, on the night journey from Hyderabad to Mumbai.

All passengers are sleeping, oblivious to the beauty surrounding them.

Noise and the jerk didn’t disturb them. They just stir and sleep again.

Perhaps it’s their daily business.

They are habituated to all this.

It is my first journey on an AC bus.

I thank my luck for getting the window seat and

once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Ambience- Weekly Photo Challenge

Ambience has the power to uplift your mood. What have you photographed with exceptional ambience?

image4617

For me there are many factors in life to uplift my mood apart from sea beach, trees, flowers, animals, sunrise, beautiful sky etc., anything from nature has the power to make you happy.  I am grateful for that. December is the right time to visit zoo in Visakhapatnam.

Then there is view of city from Kailasgiri hills.

Nothing can beat flowers as they bring instant smile to faces. No one can become serious while gazing at flowers.

Trees are my all time favorite. The moment I see them I become all :):):).

The Daily post- Sky

In my childhood, in our locality, only three of my friends, two boys, 8 and 6 years old, and my best friend a girl, of my same age, 6 years, were sure that if we could arrange for a long enough ladder and take it to the nearby hill-top. we can sure touch the sky. We can even bring one or two stars with us.

The boys’ father had many carpentry tools. They offered to make the ladder with whatever branches, wooden planks, cords, and nails a long ladder but our dream could never be materialized. You know, how these elders are. They never respect and give importance to children’s dreams. They will somehow find fault in even the cutest idea. Instead, we were fed with history, geography, and all the knowledge available in the sky.

Now, who wants to hear all that humbug when it’s your playtime but you can’t argue with elders.

Now all my friends are separated, I wonder, do they remember our childhood silly dream and laugh?

Anything which makes others look small in comparison is big. Vastness of sky makes everything look very small.
