How did it get so late so soon?

It’s time for a weekly quotation-inspired image.

If the quote inspires a pictorial or wordy post from you, do feel free to link in or to pop your URL in the comments.- Debbie Smyth

“How did it get so late so soon? It’s night before it’s afternoon. December is here before it’s June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?”

Dr. Seuss

Unfair Play

how did it all pass away so soon

old age came before the youth could croon

how some young faces are full of wrinkles
before they are swamped with
smiles and twinkles
how did time so soon fly by
before saying a proper goodbye
how come nature is not fair for some
spring is so short, and
longest is autumn

my gratitude to the mother nature

for blessing us with the spring
which gives us in abundance
the buds and the blooms and the colors
and for especially the cuckoo for sweet music
and the mango trees
who at the hint of the spring
get laden with fragrant blossoms
to give us mangoes in plenty
without discriminating
the rich and poor
