Prompts for the Promptless – Ep. 4 – Wu Wei “Prompts for the Promptless” was created to expand minds, share ideas, and — equally importantly — find something about which to blog. Rarasaur.
Wu Wei, or non-doing, is a Taoist practice involving letting one’s action follow the simple and spontaneous course of nature rather than interfering with the harmonious working of universal law by imposing arbitrary and artificial forms. In other words, it is the action of non-action.
Everything in this universe such as Sun, planets, stars, sea, river, trees, etc are a good example of Wu Wei, everything does it work naturally without doing it. In our body, our cells, our digestive system, heart, lungs, all our organs do their duty naturally, if we are not sick or hamper them with our bad faulty habits. If we don’t interfere with our limited knowledge and greed everything in nature follows Wu Wei.
Love is also a very natural expression if we don’t kill it with false differences due to color, caste, creed, religion and our selfishness.
Parents love for their children whether they are human or animal flows naturally without trying for it. This is the best example of Wu Wei.
