PROMPT WORD: RESERVE
I watch her taking long walks all alone.
She looks like a very reserved person in self-imposed exile.
I once tried to be friendly with her, but she declined and said, ‘she is cursed, and anyone she loves or became friendly will die.
She recalls that the first time she cried was when her husband died, then one by one, as if in procession, all her dear and near ones died.
Now she prefers to live alone lest she causes harm to anyone.
She has found solace in solitude.
I used to feel like this. It’s a lonely place to be.

A touching tale, at least she seems to have accepted her situation.

I hope so.I would be happy if she stops blaming herself for whatever happened.

I used to have this feeling a lot. Honestly, I almost felt like a curse. I learned to live with it and accept it and embrace it, as she did. Turns out I wasn’t as cursed as I thought.

That’s good. One should not blame oneself for few incidents but it’s human nature.

It’s hard, when younger, to not find a way to blame yourself for everything. Some people can grow out of it (which is the hope), others cannot

Solitude has potential to be a lonely place. Sad her fear separates her from the potential of life, from the benefits of friendship and love. And yet part of me is sympathetic to her instinct for survival, even if it be alone.

Solitude does not always equal solace. But it may be a good resting place.
My she find courage and comfort, and eventually good company.
