Conversation
‘ It is so lonely and eerie here’
‘Maybe people think this place is haunted.’
‘ What? I don’t understand why people are afraid of old things ?’
‘ Old things remind them of weakness and death.’
‘ Now we need them most and they have stopped coming to us.’
‘ We may be old, but we are still loving, and caring, we longed for company.’
‘ Don’t be sad, we still have each other for company, what will happen if one of us goes?’
‘ Don’t please don’t leave me alone, ever.’
So true. Nobody really has time for the old and needy.
Well done. 🙂

Dear Indira,
You’ve written a poignant conversation between two unlikely characters.
In your third to the last sentence “We may be old,…” it’s spelled weak not week. Weak is lack of strength while week is a portion of a calender. English-as-a-first-language speakers make this mistake all too often. 😉
