The Proud Owner
The proud owner of the house forgot that he had to leave it one day.
He took great pride in maintaining it with utmost care and love, and surrounded it with a beautiful garden.
He devoted all his time to beautifying its exterior, neglecting its interior and other aspects of life. He neglected to maintain a good relationship with relatives, friends, and neighbors.
When the time for departure came he repented,
‘One must always make a balance in maintaining the interior and exterior of the house, one must plant seeds of good karma so the fragrance of flowers of good karma will remain forever.’
Some people sure get hooked into appearances. He repented, but did he learn his lesson??

Good story, Indira. Seems that was a lesson learned too late, and it’s something we should all keep in mind. Well written. 🙂 — Suzanne
