Edible- The Daily Post

Edible- The Daily Post

Edible but not advisable, aloo paratha, one of  my most favorite dishes. Some roadside Dhabas in India make irresistible, yummy aloo paratha.

Edible- Haiku

Find something edible

To satiate your hunger

Don’t eat my brain

( eating my brain- idiom )

Definition. Commonly used phrase literally translated from the Hindi idiom “Bheja Khaana” which is to trouble irritate someone, typically with stupid/unnecessary questions.

“eating someone’s brains”  just means pestering someone.

Writing 101- Future

Writing 101- Last assignment Future

Cat sleeping

This time journey was wonderful as I completed all the assignment for Writing 101, almost on time. Once or twice I faltered but managed to complete them.

I made more friend and more followers. I also followed them and learned writing tips from them. What a wonderful lot. Always encouraging and taking time out of their busy schedule to give positive comments.

I love you friends.

Thanks to #Michelle, Cheri, Ben and Word Press team for giving us nice assignments.

I don’t know what to write about the future. I always live life day-to-day as at this age everyone does not knowing when the party will be over.

Uncertain is life

Future is unpredictable

We plan and God laughs

Life is like a tree.

Quality of fruits and flowers depends on how you have nurtured it.

I’ll be waiting for the future assignment as I can’t write without a push or a prompt and meanwhile publish my photography challenges and try to take part in short fiction stories.

When the past is past

For future you are tense

To live in the present

Makes a good sense

Writing 101, Day 17- Mine your own material.

Writing 101, Day 17- Mine your own material.

When I had just joined Word Press, I wanted to do many things at a time. Writing short poems in Hindi and English, photography, short stories etc. I stumbled upon Haiku, Haynaku and Haibun  and tried my hand on that also. But I had no courage to publish them . This assignment has given me a nice chance mine my old material.

Seasons come and go
According to their cycle
Relish with fervor

Seasons come and go

According to their cycle

Our mood swings  with them

Haynaku

Time
never wasted
teaches you something

Something
to learn
from your failures

Failures
to gain
Success next time

 Haibun

“Not only the thirsty seek the water,
the water as well seeks the thirsty.” Rumi

I’m walking on the water, on the sea waves,
they engulf me, embrace me, caress me,
they are cooling, soothing, taking away all the worries from my mind
I need sea. Its vastness , calmness, serenity empowers me.
Does it needs me too?
How I’m to know?
They say, sea never takes anything from anyone,
it returns everything.
Is it unconditional love from its side.
Please, make me feel wanted, take me.

bonded forever
argument unresolved
are we soul mates.

Writing 201: Water

Posted on

Writing 201: Water– Today, let’s write a poem about water. And/or a haiku. And/or use a simile.

Droplets of water

Scattered on the lotus leaves

Shimmer like pearls

Image result for image of droplets of water on lotus leaves

sad, depressed, heart-broken

I take a dip in the sea

calm, cool, soothing water

tastes like my tears

waves  caressing

wash traces of tears

whisper in my ear

don’t break down or bow out

be like us

floating on the surface

gathering courage and

hitting hard on the shore

Friendship

Posted on

Somewhere in life

There must be someone

To take your hand

And share the torrid day.

Without the touch of friendship

There is no life, and we must fade away.

Sourse- Healing into Wholeness

Source- Healing into Wholeness

My take on friends and friendship

What are friends there for ?

If not for
Care, concern and adulation
For being comfortable
In silence and communication
For supporting each other
In every difficult situation
For helping each other
Without humiliation
For accepting each other
Without any discrimination.

Some Haiku(s)

1- Friendship can unite

     Different species together

     Miraculous bond

2- True friend and friendship

     Most rare and valuable gift

     Treasure it with care

3- Love, trust, compassion

    Synonymous with friendship

    True friends are a bliss

4-  If all religions

      Shed their animosity

       Friendliness survives

5- Who cares for color

When bond of love is strong

     Friendship matters more

black and white

Size does not matter

Caste and creed may be different

Friendship cares for none

affection

Friends! What’s your take on friendship, share with me .
